EMAIL/INTERNET BASED SERVICES
Imran Anwar and his associate at that time established the .PK Top Level Domain for PAKISTAN and started Internet Email in Pakistan several years ago with 100% personal efforts and private resources. IMRAN continued to be a niche provider of internet based services in Pakistan. However, there are no plans to offer live services because of the large number of service providers and very reasonable prices available there already. Imran Anwar's Sept. 26 article in the Far Eastern Economic Review explains the rationale for this decision. Currently IMRAN provides internet services to Pakistani corporations and businesses.
NEWS SERVICES
We are also the pioneers in bringing http:// from Pakistan to readers all over the world. IMRAN was among the world's first daily news services online, before major media of today had even registered domain names. IMRAN and Imran Anwar consulted for major media and financial organizations to bring them online. These services superceded by major online newspaper sites, some of which are hosted by IMRAN.
POSTPAK: EMAIL TO POSTAL MAIL
This service allows you to send email that is printed and sent by Post to non-email users.
INTER-MAIL: POSTAL EMAIL *FROM* PAKISTAN
Hand written letters from Pakistan can reach you by email using this service.
WWW SERVICES
We offer World Wide Web hosting and consulting services, as well as a free web site rating service called iRate.
CORPORATE/GROUP/SUB-DOMAIN EMAIL
While this service is still offered, we are delighted with the availability of live connectivity in Pakistan. Almost anyone can get live email connections now, though.
CORPORATE/HEAVY VOLUME DATA TRANSFER
The system in place in Pakistan is an effort by us to promote email in Pakistan. We have spent 100% personal funds and efforts to do everything with not a penny from any Government or private supporter. Our mission has borne fruit and today live internet email is offered by multiple private companies as well as PTC.
Because of a heavier usage of the system and because of some requests we received from educational institutions, we are still offering DATA TRANSFER for our clients. This is only useful to people who need to send Megabytes of data daily or weekly at regular intervals. This service will eventually be phased out as more and more cities get live internet access.
This is just a brief summary of INTERNET related services currently available to all users.
