Backyard+Blizzard=Winter Wonderland

Blizzard+Backyard=Winter Wonderland.

Can you see the ice sparkling in the golden sunlight seemingly sprayed onto the ice?

It was the end of Fall but a strong pre-Winter storm turned into a Blizzard of 2009 in the Northeast. It was official, Patchogue, received a record 27+ inches of snow.

This image of the falling sun casting a range of light and color shows the magic. Standing in my backyard, I realized, I could learn to ski right here! The 27" of snow would cushion the many falls I'd be sure to have.
